What's the difference between a TJ, YJ, and XJ Jeep?

A number of people are unsure what the different designations are for the Jeeps we drive.

Here is a brief description for you:

SJ...Wagoneers, Old (Big) Cherokees
XJ..."Small" Cherokees
MJ...Comanches
YJ...Wrangler '87-'95
CJ...C'mon...you know what these are (Civilian Jeeps, if you didn't already know!)
DJ...those cute little postal Jeeps
TJ...The '97 Wrangler
ZJ...The Grand Cherokees

I hope that clears up any confusion.

Happy Wheelin'
